2017 Breakfast of Champions

How to get your protein and carbs every morning without being boring. Here’s a perfect breakfast recipe from a Palm Beach personal trainer that will get you the protein and carbs you need to start your day off right!
The protein pancake recipe! The pancake that will help you grow those muscles, burn that fat, give you energy and help you achieve your fitness goals all while tasting delicious.
Anyone that trains, lifts weights, does cardio and has discipline with their fitness and health goals knows how important breakfast is. After all, we all know that the six-pack abs, the shredded or toned physique that you want is unattainable without proper diet (or ridiculously great genetics).
It’s the time to start the day right and get the protein and carbs you need, to break the fast after hours of sleep. Feed those muscles with lean protein and proper carbs so you have the energy to train hard at my private personal training facility in West Palm Beach or wherever it is that you train.
Here is the breakfast recipe that several of my clients use to get their day started right. Those who train with me know that you need 5-6 good meals a day, with good protein, healthy carbs and some healthy fats mixed in.

1. Heat your oven to 400 degrees.

2. Spray an oven-safe skillet with a no calorie, non-stick spray and set it aside.

3. Put 1 cup of dry oats in a blender, powderize it and set it aside. Note: Do NOT use flavored oatmeal as it is loaded with sugar.

4. Now combine in the blender: 1 cup (8 ounces) of egg whites, 1/4 cup of blueberries or strawberries, 1 teaspoon of baking powder, 1/4 cup of non fat cottage cheese and as many dashes of cinnamon as you like. Blend for 10 seconds, then blend in your powdered oats.

5. Pour blender contents into skillet and bake until center is not mushy but firm to the touch. You can also prepare on the stovetop using non stick spray and cook covered over medium heat until done.

6. If you still need more flavor sprinkle a packet of stevia on top or a couple tablespoons of no sugar syrup or even some Walden Farms no calorie topping.

Remember what I tell my clients at Fit & Psyched in West Palm Beach: If you are going to lift first thing in the morning eat this breakfast before you hit the weights. If you do your cardio first thing in the morning do so on an empty stomach and eat afterwards.
