Battle Rope Training

Battle rope training…..Here at Fit and Psyched located at 1177 Clare Ave. #2, West Palm Beach, Florida we like to incorporate many different ways to getting and staying in shape. In an earlier blog, I covered some of the benefits of TRX training and today I’ll pinpoint some advantages to training with battle ropes!

  • Cardiovascular and resistance training simultaneously.    An example of that would be 1 minute of “waves” followed immediately by push-ups.
  • Shorter workouts or a fun way to get your post training cardio in.
  • For those that like to train outside, throw them in your car, hook up to a pole, tree or anything that can secure them all while you enjoy our terrific Florida weather AND get a fantastic workout.
  • Train all muscle groups using your core to stabilize your body, your legs and glutes to set your stance and your arms, back and shoulders to operate the ropes.
  • Supersetting. Incorporate 1 minute of kettle bell training right BEFORE your 1 minute blast of the ropes, then rest for a minute (you’ll need it) and repeat.
