Yes, you can enjoy going out to eat without ruining your diet! Being a personal trainer in West Palm Beach we hear just about everything when it comes to diets or just simply eating healthy. One of the top challenges that people have are making good choices while eating in restaurants. Here are a few tips to help you make those choices better while still enjoying your night out!
- Think ahead. Most all restaurants nowadays have online menus, so lets take advantage of that by looking it over ahead of time so you have a game plan in place BEFORE you get there.
- Do they have a kids menu? Not just what we’re eating but how much we’re eating is equally as important. Ordering from the kids menu automatically handles the how much, but it’s still up to you to decide “the what.”
- Grilled or broiled instead of fried. Chicken or fish instead of beef. Salad instead of bread. Salad dressing on the side instead of poured on already. Mustard instead of mayonnaise. Plain baked potato instead of fries.
